Last week I presented three issues from Joe Biden’s campaign website and highlighted how his positions favor a government-directed solution for social ills. I also referenced how Joe Biden is really a product of those with whom he congregates. In today’s episode, I would like to begin the process of introducing you to those with whom Joe Biden congregates and to whom Joe Biden gets his ideas. Today we’ll discuss the Voter Rights position championed by Speaker Nancy Pelosi champions.
This last week has been filled with panic and isolation from the Coronas Virus. This crisis shows just how much hatred exists towards President Trump. Example: Speaker Pelosi ran to the mic and accused the President is incompetence over the Corona Virus issue. However, with out Pelosi’s knowledge, President Trump was building a strong collation with private business to create a national drive-through testing process. Something never imagined by any other President.
President Trump is under attack from all sides…Progressive Bernie Sanders suggests the President is dangerous. Democrats in Congress have tried to prosecute the President over Russian Involvement and then for trying to influence the election by having Ukraine investigate Joe Biden’s son.
- Trump tweets too much
- Trump said mean things about people who attack him
- Trump is hiding his taxes
Trump Derangement Syndrom
25th Amendment (Section 4) play?
CNN: “The White House physician said in a memo released late Friday night that President Donald Trump remains without symptoms for coronavirus and quarantine is not necessary after he came into contact with two individuals who have the virus.”
What if the Democrats are now working an angle to get President Trump removed from office by using the 25th Amendment and the potential of the President being infected by COVID-19?
Slander on President Trump
Bernie Sanders referred to President Trump as: “racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe and a religious bigot”; “Let me begin by reiterating what I have said from Day One of this campaign, and that is that Donald Trump is the most dangerous president in the modern history of our country and he must be defeated. Tragically, we have a president today who is a pathological liar and is running a corrupt administration”
The Trump Presidency Is Over
It has taken a good deal longer than it should have, but Americans have now seen the con man behind the curtain.

In Un-Reported News:
President Trump support the House’s plan: H.R.6201 – Families First Coronavirus Response Act is supported by President Trump.
Trump builds historic partnership with public and private entities to combat corona.
Trump works with Governors to lead the local effort.
Who is Speaker Nancy Pelosi? Besides being the second most powerful congresswoman in DC (only behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) Nancy is the keeper of the Democratic party. She is also third in line to become President of the United States.
Those running for office must visit with Nancy and discuss issues of great importance. So it is a good idea to examine Nancy’s views on various topics.
Nancy Pelosi’s Campaign Promises
Issues that Nancy champions are pretty typical for someone with a liberal bent on American life. I am not one to hold liberal views against the individual. As a good conservative, I believe in live and let live.
However, every two years our US House of Representatives return to the voters for approval (aka re-election). In my opinion, we the voters kind of fall down on our job of keeping our elected representatives in line with our wishes.
OK Maybe that last statement is not totally fair, but when I look at someone like Nancy Pelosi, who was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 1987 and the changes our country has gone through in those 33 years, I find it hard to believe the majority of voters in her district actually pay attention to the issues.
I think after several years, as voters, we just become complacent and figure we’ve supported the candidate in years past; so it is easy to not read that section of the voters guide and just vote as we’ve done in years past.
Here are the issues listed on Nancy’s campaign site as those she feels are most important to her constituents:
- Campaign Finance Reform
- Voting Right
- Energy and the Environment
- Health Care
- Retirement Security
- Human Rights
- National Security
- Gun Safety
- Net Neutrality
- Internet Privacy Rules
It is not possible to cover all the issues in this podcast and besides my point is to highlight how Joe Biden’s views are tempered by those around him. However in today’s episode I would like to focus in on a couple important one.
First, we should go through language Speaker Pelosi is using for her campaign. On PelosiForCongress.org, she’s written: Following the Supreme Court’s decision to undo vital safeguards in the Voting Rights Act of 1965, Republicans have accelerated their effort to raise new barriers to the ballot box. This kind of oppression must end – and Democrats’ Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Voter Empowerment Act will put a stop to this, ensuring every American can make their voices heard in our elections.
The Democrats’ Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2017 was passed by a party line vote in the US House of Representatives. Here is language on voters rights from the Speaker’s House web site: Pelosi.house.gov: Voting rights are essential to who we are as Americans, to the cause of equality, and to the strength of our democracy. We must secure the most basic privilege of American citizenship: the right to vote. Congress plays an important role in removing obstacles to voting to ensure every citizen has the right to vote and every vote is counted as cast.
The Voting Rights Act is one of the great guardians of our democracy. Yet in June 2013, the Supreme Court decided to dismantle some of the most important protections of this critical law, opening the door to brazen efforts to disenfranchise American citizens with new barriers to the ballot box. The ruling invalidated the primary enforcement provision of the VRA, which had protected voters from racial discrimination for nearly 50 years.
The issue at heart of Speaker Pelosi and Joe Biden’s concern is the voter ID laws held up by the Supreme Court in Shelby County v. Holder. Turning once again to the liberal’s knowledge source, wikipedia, here is the description of the case:
The Supreme Court of the United States allowed jurisdictions with a history of suppression of minority voters to avoid continuing to abide by federal preclearance requirements for changes in voter registration and casting of ballots. Within 24 hours of that ruling, Alabama implemented a previously-passed 2011 law requiring specific types of photo identification to be presented by voters.
It is interesting to note that Nancy disapproves of Alabama’s position on requiring ID to vote, but the Democratic National Conference requires delegates to show their ID to vote at the convention. If it is important for voters to show an ID to select a candidate to represent the Democrat party, then why is the same standard applied to voting for the person who will lead the free world as President of the United States?
Is it possible to disagree on important issues and still view your opponent as an honest American? In Nancy Pelosi’s world, is does not appear to be possible—at least not when it comes to climate change.
From my vantage point, there isn’t anyone in Congress (or possibly in America) who wishes for polluted water, air, and soil. Nobody wakes up in the morning and said let’s melt all the ice and flood America. But to read Speaker Pelosi’s campaign websites all Republicans do.
Here is a statement from PelosiForCongress.com
We cannot afford Republicans’ willful special interest blindness to the climate crisis. With rising temperatures, surging seas and record floods, fires and storms, real American leadership is needed now more than ever. But Republicans are busy stacking the deck for big polluters against the health of our children and our communities.
We’ve all hear Democrats use “the science is settled” argument to make the tone of the debate go their way…but in my 53 years of life the one define in life is science is never settled.
Yet, here is a statement from Pelosi.House.Gov
The verdict of science is clear: climate change is real, and its consequences are undeniable. Rising seas, severe droughts, and increasingly extreme and unpredictable weather patterns will impact every nation on every continent—and communities across the San Francisco Bay Area are already feeling the effects.
There is no time left to deny the reality of climate change, or to turn a blind eye on the impact it is having on our country. Climate change threatens our economic security, our national security, and our food security, and we must act quickly to reduce carbon pollution and secure a sustainable future for our children and our children’s children.
To a Democrat, government is the solution…
Points to vamp on:
- Windmills – can not possibly generate enough clean energy to compensate for the environmental cost of building the windmill.
- Carbon Cap and Trade – create a commodity market managed by the federal government to trade carbon credits.
Disagreement is American, but not at the expense of Liberty
What do I mean by that? (VAMP)
The Federal Government is not good at anything. (VAMP)
- US Post Office
- Military Intelligence
- Manage Foreign Trade
Nancy Pelosi, and by extension Joe Biden, believe the Federal Government is better suited to manage the environment, energy, and healthcare—just to name a few of the desired new areas of management. If they get their wish, the very Liberties that make America unique will be governed by those we elect to office.
One might ask, isn’t the fact American vote these people into office to represent us in Washington mean that our liberties are being protected?
As a veteran, I dawned our nations uniform in protection of the Constitution and your right to believe anything you want. But I also wore that uniform to protect other people from undo pressure to believe what someone else demands.
Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden wish to re-write the Constitution to one that tell what the government must do “for” people, rather than what government is not allowed to do “to” people.
In each episode I try to find an action…I have to be honest, I am struggling with that in this one. The action to me seems pretty simple. Read your voters guide, but it must go further. In our last episode we discussed how disconnected our communities are. Saul Alinsky laid out a clear plan to divide our nation and make it uncomfortable for people to discuss politics.
So I guess the action I’ll suggest is don’t let them win.
OK, That sounded bad. Them, now who is dividing us? My point here is Progressives who hate America have taken up Alinsky’s goal and many evil people who don’t believe in freedom and liberty are trying to influence how you and I live our lives.
People like George Soros and Michael Bloomberg are spending billions to influence politicians to take America in a direction they want. We, the constituents, are being cut out of the discussion while our nation is lose little bits and pieces of our liberty. If we don’t get involved, if we don’t rebuild connections with our community; then as a divided community the Progressives will win.
